Hainan offers a max of 500,000 yuan in innovation subsidies

Companies today cannot live without innovation. Now, the Science & Technology Innovation Subsidy Policy from the Department of Science and Technology of Hainan Province, which is designed for companies and entrepreneurial teams in Hainan lacking sufficient economic and innovation resources, offers a subsidy after the purchase of innovative science and technology products or services from universities, scientific research institutions, or science & technology service institutions.
According to the regulations on subsidies for science and technology innovation issued by the Department of Science and Technology of Hainan Province in October 2020, for companies signing technology R&D contracts or technology transfer contracts with scientific research institutions, a maximum of 500,000 yuan in subsidies is offered. For companies signing technology consulting contracts or technology service contracts with scientific research institutions, a maximum of 200,000 yuan in subsidies is offered. Since 2017, the department has approved a total of about 28.8 million yuan for the innovation subsidy budget, with about 5.4 million yuan having already been granted to qualifying companies.
The policy not only creates profits for scientific research institutions, but also cuts down on costs for companies in need and stimulates increased investment in scientific research, allowing these companies to complete transformations and upgrades through technological innovation.
